We are a fellowship transformed by God's grace—the undeserved gifts God freely bestows on us because of Jesus. We joyously share the story of our journey.
Grace is Our Passion
Grace involves all the undeserved gifts God freely gives us because of Jesus. We are saved and live by grace. We seek to share the joy and power of that grace with others. Grace is the essence of who we are (Ephesians 2:8, John 1:14, Titus 3:4-7; 2:11-13).
Our passion for grace springs from our journey as a congregation. Over the last few years we've experienced a profound grace awakening. We have been mercifully delivered from a legalistic religion based on trying to earn God's approval into a vibrant relationship with God grounded in the grace of Jesus Christ.
Though this grace awakening has transformed what we teach, it has also transformed our hearts—and that changes everything. In particular, it changes the way we approach life as a congregation. Our name, Grace Community Fellowship, expresses that change. It notes that we seek to be a place where the grace of God directs all we do.
If you're looking for a church home, or simply wanting to learn more about Jesus Christ and his way of grace, we encourage you to check us out. We think you'll find it refreshing to experience the transforming power of God in a community of people who have a passion for the grace that is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Community is Our Purpose
God is at work in our world forming communities of people who will live in a relationship of devoted love with Jesus Christ and with each other. God forms these communities so that they may fulfill Jesus' command to love God and all people (Matthew 22:34-40, John 15:12) and to fulfill his command to share the good news (gospel) of God's grace with the whole world (Mark 16:15).
Our purpose as a congregation is to be such a community, living in obedience to these mandates of Jesus. We seek to be faithful followers of Jesus, actively doing his work in our everyday world.
Fellowship is Our Practice
A primary way God gives us to do this work of loving and sharing is what the Bible calls fellowship. Fellowship involves people actively partnering together to follow and to serve Jesus (1 John 1:3, 7). We develop bonds of fellowship in caring, nurturing friendships.
Our practice as a community is to facilitate and encourage meaningful fellowship through our core ministries. We understand from the Bible that the Spirit of God gives every disciple of Jesus special gifts for serving. Our congregation seeks to encourage and equip members in using these gifts so that they can make a real difference in their families, communities, workplaces and in all aspects of their daily lives.
